GHRP-6, also known as Releasing Hexapeptide, is a peptide hormone of the hormone class. As is with all related peptides, GHRP-6 is widely used to increase the amount of natural GH production in the body. And the increases in GH can be beneficial to anabolism, fat loss, recovery and general well being as well as serve possible anti-aging purposes.

GHRP-6 will show far greater benefits when used as part of a long-term anti-aging plan (Hormone Replacement Therapy) or in conjunction with other medications used to enhance performance. For the athlete or bodybuilder, GHRP-6 is often used in conjunction with Mod GRF 1-29 (CJC-1295 without DAC) in lieu of HGH use.

GHRP-6 is most generally used for the same purposes that GH might be used, but may be chosen where a cost advantage exists favoring GHRP-6, GH is not available, or the individual prefers the idea of stimulating his own GH production to injecting GH.

These purposes can include increased fat loss, improved muscle gain when used in combination with anabolic steroids, cosmetic improvement of the skin, and improved healing from injury.

There is no need to cycle GHRP use, and so therefore GHRP-6 may be used whenever it is thought to be useful for any of the above reasons. However, when usage is ongoing instead of short-term amplification of a steroid cycle or fat-loss program, I recommend limiting dosage to the minimum end of the suggested dosage range.

While GHRP-6 is capable of inducing large increases in GH production when used alone, a given dose will show markedly more effect what a GHRH (releasing hormone) peptide is taken at the same time. Alternately, when combining a GHRH with GHRP-6, only about half or a third as much GHRP-6 is needed to obtain the same increase in GH production.

For this reason, it's a common choice to combine a GHRH with a GHRP, but excellent results are often obtained without doing so. A preferred choice of GHRH is Mod GRF 1-29 (also known as CJC-1295 without DAC.)

HRT, this will be the primary beneficial period of GHRP-6 use. This may apply to male or female HRT. HRT patients that include GHRP-6 as part of their plan will do so for long to indefinite periods of time in an effort to maintain elevated levels of GH continuously in a body that otherwise produces a suboptimal amount. Such HRT patients, along with proper diet and assuming all their other hormone levels are optimal via natural or therapeutic means can expect the following:

Improved recovery
 

Difference between GHRP-2 and GHRP-6

GHRP-6 causes a significant increase in hunger for many, therefore making it good for people

looking to "bulk" but no so good for those trying to lose fat. GHRP-2 is often preferred for people

dieting as it does not stimulate hunger, however it does raise cortisol (a stress hormone),

prolactin (a hormone which can diminish sex drive) and aldosterone (a hormone which promotes

water retention) more than GHRP-6 and Ipamorelin. Ipamorelin is similar to GHRP-6 in that it

causes an increase in hunger (but it's not as dramatic as GHRP-6). However, since it does not

raise cortisol, prolactin or aldosterone at recommended dosages it is a preferred choice for

those who are sensitive to these hormones.
